my terrible mattress health

this one is a bit of an eye opener but also a lesson to take

So this is pretty old…

Anyone who knows me personally may have heard me go on and on about this.

See my mattress problem wasn’t my mattress, my mattress was a symptom of a bigger problem.

Part of the supportive slats on my bed had broken at the middle and this made my mattress start to sag.

It wasn’t long before I had back pain literally every single day.

I was using heat packs and pain killers and trying to find a fix by filling the space with a pillow or anything.

In the end I was able to get a new bed frame and mattress pretty quickly but it was a nightmare.

At the end of the day this is something you spend 8+ hours a day on. The support has got to be good.

Now this isn’t going to be one of those transition into a buy link for new mattresses and beds…

But it is something to think about.

  • Is your mattress supporting you?

  • Is there a sag?

  • Is it at the end of its’ life?

Some of these things start off as being no big deal, but then start to creep into something bigger.

There’s probably a lot of you out there too who have made great progress! following my lessons no doubt 🙄

Part of making progress is weight gain.

Did you even know you’re supposed to have different firmness of mattress’ based on how much you weigh?

It’s crazy how much goes into this.

Now will it make or break stuff… probably not

However, if you feel super uncomfortable and you feel like you can’t get to sleep/stay asleep, maybe the mattress is a culprit.

Stay safe and have a good nights’ sleep!
