never go above this weight

here's the heaviest you should ever be

Fletcher Poole Banner

We’ve spoken a lot about bulking, cutting, recomping.

What’s the heaviest you’ll actually get?

This is actually really easy to work out.

It’s also pretty nice knowing where your hard limits should be.

  • 5% Bodyfat (The leanest you’ll ever get)

  • 10% Bodyfat (The leanest we’ll get in a recomp)

  • 15% Bodyfat (The fattest we’ll get in a recomp)

  • 20% Bodyfat (The fattest you should ever get)

It’s ridiculously easy to work this out, just stay with me for a few more minutes.

We’re going to base this on BMI, it’s that easy.

  • 5% BF = 26.3 BMI

  • 10% BF = 27.78 BMI

  • 15% BF = 29.41 BMI

  • 20% BF = 31.25 BMI

All you have to do to this BMI number is multiply it by your height (m) squared.

So if you’re 180cm and you want to figure out 15% BF heaviest do this.

29.41 * (1.8*1.8)

= 95.2884kg (210.06 lbs)

Pretty much all there is to it.

Reply to this email with the heaviest you’ll be able to get and I’ll guess which bodyfat it’s at.

P.S. This is valuable as it let’s you know the ranges that are in play. If the 20% BF version of you is lighter than the current you, there’s definitely some work to be done. (Also this can be used to work out if someone is natural or not).
