Magazine Dreams was Raw

it's not just another taxi driver, joker movie.

I’ve found two things very hard recently to watch.

The first was Season 7 Episode 1 of Black Mirror.

It was just… depressing.

I could barely finish the thing, it wasn’t enjoyable, I gained nothing.

The other is…

Your best practice starts with accepting insurance

When looking for a mental health provider, over half of patients want one who takes their insurance.

Headway helps you do it with ease. Get credentialed, secure better rates with top plans, and earn a steadier income with bi-weekly payments.

It's all on one free-to-use platform, no commitment required.

Magazine Dreams.

This movie has just been released in the cinema.

I was scrolling TikTok. I saw a scene. I thought it looked cool.

I didn’t know what I was in store for.

This film felt real.

It felt like I’d met the character time and time and time again in the bodybuilding space.

It perfectly demonstrated male loneliness in the pursuit of purpose.

It was tough to watch, but I think it’s important if you’re in this space.

It teaches you about acceptance, about grit, and about self-control.

Some people might wrongly view this movie as a warning for steroid abuse, that’s not what it is…

It’s a warning against being consumed by a dream that isn’t made for you.

It’s a warning against keeping everything out other than this dream.

Oddly after watching it I feel like there’s only two people who can understand the film.

  1. People who have seen guys like this in the bodybuilding space

  2. People who have experienced real loneliness

I think that’s why so many people don’t get it, call it “steroid propaganda”, or say it’s unrealistic.

Keep chasing your gains, just don’t let it be at the cost of everything.

Your Hypertrophy Hero,
Fletcher
