The Daily Worry Period
section all your worries into a small chunk of time and be happier

Do you ever sit there worrying?
Overthinking?
If not you can skip this email
If you do, read this email
How does this relate to gains…?
Well uhh, people who worry won’t make gains because of all the cognitive load.
BOOM. Managed to connect it to something.
I really clutched that there.
So let’s talk about fixing worries.
I’ll tell you about the method to removing overthinking. The reflection of your thoughts. How they can actually be useful.
Overthinking is a weird thing.
It simultaneously is the worst trait, and one of the greatest.
Do you think I managed to write over 77 articles on unique topics without overthinking?
My brand has been built on overthinking.
Overthinking lets us deconstruct topics, reflect on important things, and build. But this doesn’t make it desirable in all cases.
If I sit there thinking about an interaction I have all day and get paralysed, that won’t help anything.
So here’s the fix.
The Daily Worry Period
This is a framework where you dedicate a portion of your day entirely to letting lose of all the worries you have.
If you’re not inside your daily worry period and you start to overthink, you tell yourself to archive it for later.
The daily worry period is what lets you bring out all these worries in a healthy way.
Pick a time for your daily worry period (it lasts 30 minutes)
For 30 minutes straight right down all your worries, and then all your thoughts
In about two weeks you’ll notice you’ve taught your body to only worry during this time.
This is when you can start getting meta and utilising overthinking in a positive way.
There are Two Types of Thoughts You Have
The first type of thoughts is emotional, it’s fear of something, anxiety towards something, etc.
It’s avoidance of an action, or inaction.
Start to recognise these for what they are, limitations.
The second type of thoughts are logical, they’re opportunities, they’re ways to develop and grow.
These are the ones you have to look at and ask yourself if you want to pursue.
I often times find myself thinking about other topics, but it’s not always a good investment of my time.
If I start diving into those areas when there’s other stuff to do, this is a net negative.
In the end you’ll find yourself feeling a lot happier throughout the day if you follow this.
Go buy a journal
Start your daily worry periods
Be more in control
It’s not something you’ll regret doing.

Fletcher
